When to Go?

The pressure of seasonal cycle monsoon gives Cambodia two different conditions, hot and humidity. The high monsoon in August or October brings heavily rainfall around the country while rainy season varies from June to October. However, Cambodia in the rainy season is very green and beautiful. Six months of rainfall is one of the times when temples or other touristy destinations are uncrowned.

From November to February, the temperature is much cooler that is the absolute peak season. Although there are more tourists between these months, this period is thought very best for visiting Cambodia. The rest of the months, March to April, is quite hot. In general, the temperature is hot all year round.

What to Take?

No need to take more things for personal use even this country just starts to develop in a short period. But in the case that you have a plan to visit remote area, you should bring more things as you could. In the city center, everything is easily available and the price is reasonable also. According to the tropical climate, it is very good to have hat, sunblock and mosquito repellent. A collapsed umbrella or raincoat is a must one for rainy season.

Clothing is the second most important for traveling in tropical country such as Cambodia. Light weight cotton or silk is fine and you have to make sure that clothing and shoes are practically comfortable. You might walk a lot as well as ascending or descending a steep staircase of temples.
